If you're talking about having the program go out to the iSeries and check 
the software license, then yes it could work for IBM to do it.  However, 
it can't just be assumed that the user has a valid *current* license just 
because they've got the product installed and have previously connected to 
an iSeries.  WDSc is free if you have a *CURRENT* software subscription 
contract.  Someone might have had it, but let it lapse.
