Yeah, that link I bookmarked didn't have the "other" stuff, contact

Wayne:

That's pretty much what I expected. It astounds me that a week is
considered even rational, much less acceptable. I've realized that I'm
going to call for my 170 at home just so I'll have a SUID in case I need
it. Once I've got the procedure clear, I'm going to request one for each
system at work as well. And I have to suggest that this be done by
everyone as a standard DR action item.

Very much appreciate the info.

Art:

A web site... from IBM... well...

Raised my spirit when I first saw your post. Then immediately felt wary.
But, what the hey? Might as well give it a shot. Can't _possibly_ be
worse than trying to place an order.

Status: It's been a few hours since my first attempt. It still gives the
same result (Netscape and IE) -- a page that says:

"Error

Sign in could not be completed. The server might be unavailable at the
moment. Please try again."

The navigation bar on that page has links that go only back to the same
logon page. All other links are plain, old, everyday IBM Home,
Products&Services, etc.

Give the IBM ID blurb on the right, I can only assume I should use my
***NEW! IMPROVED! ONE SIZE FITS ALL!*** IBM ID. Nowadays it's the only
one I have.

Abandon hope all ye...
