Unless you want them actually educated, in which case you pay some sort of private school tuition. (I'm a public school graduate myself.) I also pay over $7,000 a year in property taxes, and I don't mind supporting public education. My older kids went to public school, my youngest went to private school (originally for a special enrichment program). The youngest was far better prepared for post-secondary education.
