Looks like quite a nice use of Javascript. Have you seen bookmarklets?
http://www.bookmarklets.com which let you do all sorts of things with
small self-contained javascript snippets. These can be stored in your
bookmarks/favorites to alter web page appearance, autoscroll, search
pages, etc.
