This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Completely off topic now, but equally interesting IMHO! Sony PlayStation 2 will run Linux some time in the future. Here we have a 128b machine running a 32b kernel. http://www.zdnet.com/zdnn/stories/news/0,4586,2712751,00.html All I know is that your Gnome or KDE will look great! Another interpretation of the article, rather than that the writer didn't know about the 64-bit technology of the iSeries, is that RedHat have only built a 32-bit kernel for the iSeries. This doesn't rule out the possibility that a 64-bit version could come in the future. IIRC AIX software running in PASE (or on an RS/6000Series for that matter) is 32-bit. So this may be a similar limitation.
