Hi gang -

IBM has an anti-virus research center which includes a number of papers,
including one on how to spot computer virus hoaxes. The same general rules
apply to spotting other kinds of hoaxes spread by email.

The paper is at:
http://www.research.ibm.com/antivirus/SciPapers/Wells/HOWTOSPOT/howtospot3.h
tml

Everyone should read that paper. As well, before forwarding anything,
everyone should an attempt to verify the information. If you can't verify
it, don't forward it.
