[ Converted text/html to text/plain ] Let's assume that the cia knew of the plot. let's also say they acted and stepped up security while they tracked down suspects. Could they have arrested otherwise law-abiding folks for owning flying manuals, copies of MS flight sim and taking flying lessons? How long would the american public have put up with 2 or 3 hour delays at the airports? Not for long. Let's say they actually caught some of the perps. could they have caught all of them? would one trade center tower falling been any less horrific than two? The sad truth is, it took something this dreadful to wake us up. Only now do we have the resolve to see this thing through. rick -----midrange-nontech-admin@midrange.com wrote: ----- To: <midrange-nontech@midrange.com> From: midrange-nontech-admin@midrange.com Date: 09/18/2001 08:25PM Subject: RE: U.S. warned in 1995 of plot to hijack planes, attack buildings I vote we turn the discussion to the question of whether there is anypossibility of ANY kind of intelligence breakdown in the future. Only takesone, for a single insane individual to destroy lives. Doesn't matter ifthey're foreign terrorists or American citizens.-----Original Message-----From: midrange-nontech-admin@midrange.com[mailto:midrange-nontech-admin@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Chuck LewisSent: Tuesday, September 18, 2001 8:00 PMTo: midrange-nontech@midrange.comSubject: Re: U.S. warned in 1995 of plot to hijack planes, attackbuildingsChris Rehm wrote:<Let me quote your post which "just provided information.":>"Oh, boy, here we go, MAJOR intelligence breakdown !">Well what would call it ?
