It really amazes me how far reaching the events of the 11th are. My wife and I live in the Sacramento area, on the opposite side of the country from the attacks. A person in her office was on the east coast for a convention. His wife happened to be in New York. Neither have been heard from since Tuesday. The people in her office don't even talk about it. They don't mention to each other that he hasn't called in except in whispers. They won't speak of it because they still hope for that call, but they suspect that he may have slipped up to New York to see her. Of course we will all be touched by this financially and we will all be involved one way or another in the reaction to this thing. But it amazes me how far it reaches. I know that people from all over the world were there in New York and were lost. Are there offices in Britian or Japan where they whisper about someone else who was on a trip to NY? Every night my wife and I have been praying for all those who lost friends and loved ones. I guess I am just really feeling emotional about all those people who still don't know. My church is having services in a half hour. These are some of the things I'll be praying about. -- Chris Rehm javadisciple@earthlink.net And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart... ...Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Mark 12:30-31
