Those of us interested in the topic of improving the quality of airport security & the human failures of implementing it ... need to be redirected to some web site of passengers discussing what the problems are that we have observed & what the possible solutions are. So that as midrange_L returns to what is on-topic, and the US civilian transportation systems go back on-line, we can apply our systems engineering & analysis skills to an area in the real world that has been sorely lacking from that kind of professional input. On many many occasions while air traveling I have observed with dismay some patterns of airport security is a farce, easily circumvented. I have tried to go through the system. I have written letters to the airport security offices detailing what I saw at their facilities that seemed to fall through the cracks. Perhaps my proposed solutions inadequate. I am sure the mental health professioals will be out in force in the days ahead to help with the grief. One of my concerns is whether it will be business as usual at the Airports, with claims of high security by folks who are blind to many cracks in the system ... even in times of heightened security in the past, I have seen that Airport Security is like a patchwork quilt of uncoordination. I want to have the satisfaction of feeling like I am making a contribution to fixing some of the problems. MacWheel99@aol.com (Alister Wm Macintyre) (Al Mac)
