There are some IBM ideas out there for this. IBM tends to fluctuate
between hot and cold on this.

Argument 1 from IBM: Accepting a new cert should be a conscious decision:
Reply: I want to submit a job to accept new certs and perhaps apply it to
the ones being replaced by an existing cert. Me scheduling that job is my
conscious decision.

Then there's some wavering between should vendors supplying a solution or
IBM. I hate the vendor idea as I'm sick of waiting on said vendors taking
a year to support new versions of the OS.

Some people are trying to opensource this.

I know there was a lengthy discussion about this a while back.

We have a hosted FTP server that is used extensively by our processes.
The wheels fell off this weekend (again) because the certificate updated,
and is not trusted in our DCM.

What, if anything, is IBM doing about this? This is not an issue in the
PC world.
This is only getting worse with the rapid expiration of certs.
