Hi Jim,

I've seen Bob on day #1 (at TXC in Orlando) and tried a lot of things like that.

Yes, Bob can do that - let it analyze and document the old program and tell Bob to create a service program with CRUD procedures for that table or set of tables. It will most probably generate some working code.

But if this code is exactly what you like? This is another question.
Will it generate code that follows your style guide? Probably, if you tell it to do so.
Will it generate code that matches the architecture you want to have? Maybe, if you use the right prompts.

What am I trying to say? It depends on your ability to "discuss" with a somehow super-fast and sometimes very good programmer, how will do what might be the most probable answer to your question.

Never forget - AI today has nothing to do with real "intelligence" in the sense of "human intelligence" - it's an automat that follows sophisticated probability calculations - not more and not less.

The best way to find out is, to try it yourself with the semi-public beta.

HTH and kind regards,
Daniel

Can BOB take a CRUD subfile program and build APIs for file I/O that might be used for a web implementation of that program?
