The windows server should connect to the IBM i using either
1 - the user id currently logged on to that Windows server
2 - The user id associated with the event
3 - NetServer Guest user id (which is definitely NOT best practices)

Are the working vs nonworking Windows Servers in the same or a different
subnet than the IBM i?

Are they in the same Windows domain?

We have some servers that when you type in the windows explorer address bar
enter \\IBMiserver\ it works fine (trying to access the IFS data). Others
it does not work. It works from our personal/work PC's also.

The network people have been pulling their hair out trying to figure out
why. DNS, firewall etc.
The servers have Network Discovery turned on.
We can ping from all servers successfully.
Working
server01 – Windows Server 2016 Standard
server04 – Windows Server 2019 Standard
Not Working
server24 – Windows Server 2019 Standard
server25 – Windows Server 2022 Standard
server03 – Windows Server 2016 Standard

Our IBMiserver is running V7R3M0 with TR level: 13, PTF Group Name is
SF99731

How does the server know what user profile to use?

Any ideas would be appreciated.
