*SPLCTL is implicit in *JOBCTL therefore that is not the issue.

Are there any specific authorities on the out queue itself?

My suspicion is there is a background service running with a very low authority profile, that’s getting in the way.

Jim,

Both profiles have *JOBCTL rights. Neither has *SPLCTL specified.

Spool control on the profile?

Hi,

We have a third party product that uses Java to retrieve data from a spool file. If I run the process under PROFILEA, it works. If I run it under PROFILEB, it doesn't. When I say it doesn't work, I mean it is unable retrieve the data from the spool file. The process doesn't generate any error messages when it doesn't work. I have checked the audit journal for AF entries and nothing shows up for PROFILEB. We also have an exit point solution in place (SafeNet), and there are no errors there either. So far, the vendor won't tell me what method they are using to retrieve the spool data. I'm talking to a support person and they don't know the details of the process either.

Anyone have any ideas where else I could look for possible error messages?
