As I always say. Secure the data. Don't rely upon either 'security by
obscurity' or securing the tools instead of the data.

I'm sure the original intent of these enhancements are to allow you to
figure out points of attack and limit them. If it has a side benefit of
waving that red blanket and yelling Toro! and inspiring you to get on it,
that's good too.

I published a step-by-step instructions on how to hack someone's password
when using unsecured telnet and published it to the department.
Caught holy hell from the boss but, we're not using unsecured telnet
anymore.
