You can move Savf from Qsys file system to Ifs:

MOV OBJ(&SAVFORIG) TOOBJ(&SAVFDEST)

but not from Ifs to Qsys file system (never been able to do it).

I say it because sometimes savf can be huge and moving doesn't require
extra space and it's very fast.

FTP is by far the easiest.

However, you can copy the *SAVF into a IFS file and the use a windows
share to move the file between the client. There is an IBM tech
document on how to do it.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Call me a Luddite, but given that we've never been an ACS shop, the only
tool I've ever used for getting save files onto or off of a Midrange box
has been good old-fashioned FTP.

Assuming somebody has ACS, but either doesn't have an FTP server running
on their box, or doesn't have an FTP client running on their desktop,
what would be the easiest way for such an individual to transfer a save
file onto or off of the Midrange box?
