Yep, it's 220V.

I bought a British power plug and a step up converter for mine.

It will boot to ASMI on 110V, but will throw an error code.

That all said, I do need to sell it - I can't really power it, I don't have a dedicated circuit to give it. I didn't know it needed 220V when I bought it.

If anyone is interested in an S822 with 1TB of RAM, please feel free to email me. I'm not sure if it's an S822 or S822L, but I can find out. I bought it to run Linux, since I have 7.3 running on an 8202-E4B.

Does the S822 power 8 server use a 110V looking power cord ( C13 ) which
is
connected to 220V utility power?

I have a power 8 S822 that I would like to use. The power supply says
200-240V. But the power cord is 110V looking. When I power the system
up
on 110V power. the system turns on to the extent that the service
processor
starts up. I get an HMC and ASMI connection. But the SRC is 1100 2613.
The fans do not start on the system. And the HMC shows the system as
having no CPU, no memory.

The building owner says he can run 220V power to my office. Should the
connector he provides be one that a 3 prong C13 ( 110V looking ) power
cord
would plug into?

thanks,

-Steve
