The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
While the browser version of our Customer Service application is infinitely better, people who have been using the green screen version for 5+ years are a very hard sell. They'll use the browser in a heartbeat for new applications, etc. When it comes to the browser replacement for an existing green screen app, they'll use it when they need a feature not available in green screen -- But then revert back to the green screen.
New users won't touch the green screen.
My tactics are:
1. No enhancements or changes to the green screen applications
2. Add new capabilities to the browser version that users simply can't do without
I agree that the green screen may be slightly quicker for "heads down" data entry of a sales order... but we don't do that anymore (less than 4% of our orders).
Change is hard.

For us, professionals, with a lot of practice in the green screen, we find
it great for running system commands, and even seu is very usable tool.
I wrote lots of green screen applications starting with the S/34, until the
web became more mature.
Since 1997, I have never found any user application that works better in
the green screen than in the web.
All new applications I did for web, and for the ones that had a lot of use
I did a web version, users choose the web every time, never went back to
the green screen.
I myself, still use the green screen for IBM commands.
