Someone else asked if SDA would survive an upgrade.

I tested on a new V7R6 partition.

Not sure on the upgrade scenario.

DFU was on the list and it appears short sightedness was recognized for that.

SDA and RLU we shall see. There's little or no cost to let it sit and be used even if there's no technical updates.

SDA and RLU were cool for what they did and still do.

removal ?

Re: SEU, I was wondering the same thing. I mean, RLU I could understand ending (though I like the option to print a facsimile).

And what about DFU? And, by the way, technically SDA refers to S/36 screen designer; it's STRSDA for the "native" designer. But that's just quibbling. It does raise the question about /36's SDA and RPG II (I maintain a lot of /36 apps.). Even in the "good ol' days" I never used it to design panels, just menus.

There used to be a *M36 object which was solely for the purpose of running /36 code for which the user did not have the source and, therefore, could not re-compile. I cannot recall how long ago that was terminated.

Question: If one is doing a release upgrade to an existing machine (which has STRSDA installed), is STRSDA removed?
