How much of a factor, if any, is the availability of Power 11 playing with
IBM i Vendor software?
Meaning, how many vendors were hoping to bypass spending the money on Power
10, and go straight to Power 11? If IBM keeps the pattern up, iNext will
be out in 2028 and will likely not run on Power 10 so, if you have to
upgrade, why not try to go with a 6 year life and not a 3 year life? And
get a P11 instead of a P10? I know it's a factor in our roll out. We have
a Power 9 which we need to replace.
