Steve is right. I also receive calls and emails asking if I have any interest
in IBM i roles in Issaquah, Wa. That's the Costco dead giveaway.

Pete,
They still are. I get a contact from a recruiter about every 45 to 60 days. On-site/hybrid in the WA (north of Seattle) or TX (north of Dallas).

Subject: Costco still on IBM i?
I was in Costco yesterday and noticed that the usual "green screen"
interfaces were no longer there. Nice GUI in it's place. The Costco employee said she liked it better (she was doing returns) but as she demo'ed it seemed it was more the smart use of scanning devices (grabbing images, scanning the barcode) that she thought was "better"
(although I am pretty sure those interfaces were already in use).
The reason I ask is that about 15 years ago I was in a secure programming class with a couple of Costco developers that said they were moving off the platform. Could they have finally moved?
