A bit of an update.

the SQL service qsys2.license_info shows the P-group for the current server as outlined in the manuals. I had thought it would show the P-group for the listed software product like the program QSFWINV shows.
DSPLICKEY also shows the P-group for
"The processor group of the system associated with this license key."

I would have expected that the SQL view would show that value as well.
The case I have open asked me to open an idea to get that data included in the view, please vote if you think it would be helpful.

so if you need to know the P-group for the installed software product, you will need to do some extra work.
