Tons of hardware content, as IBM is about to move to Power 11.
Lots of admin content.
Just go from session to session and "soak your head": total immersion in IBM i and Power systems for a week!
And all the best stuff is not in the schedule (IMHO), it happens in the hallway conversations and in the Expo.

Howdy. I had a request from a former colleague, who will be attending his
first conference ever. Here is the question he posed to me:


"Based on your experience, what do you recommend so I can make the most of
this opportunity and experience?"


Given that I haven't attended since 2006, and that I have been retired for 6
years, I told him that I'd ask you folks.


Here is his current job description:



"iSeries systems Administrator, including ownership of all the hardware for
it (Power system, storage, San switches, etc). Also, I am responsible for
the Storage Service Area, which involves all the storage hardware in the
company (Dell, NetApp, V7K, etc)



All suggestions are welcome.
