Hi Jim,

sorry for the delay.

1) We use IBM COS with Falconstor VTL , 5733ICC+BRMS , some backup scripts from On-Prem and Cloud to IBM COS, and all work well.

Is it any good?

* Really good, probably the best objet storage service.
* You can chose the redundancy level (local, regional, world-wide)
* You can predict costs
* Can use IBM Aspera to improve transfer rate

The bad: Has egress costs, like most cloud storage services has, but you only recover an small amount of data, let say less than 5% of the total you upload.

2) From my point of view, 5733ICC is a limited product, designed to work with BRMS. If you need to upload/download/delete/list files, I can suggest AWS CLI running in PASE with QSHONI, to get the full funcionality from the cloud with no software charges.

Hope this can help you
