I've been distributing a standard JRE with ACS and I can't remember the last time I had a crash. I generally have 4 5250 windows open for various environments and multiple Run SQL Scripts windows open simultaneously. I occasionally have a few other ACS functions open in addition to that. Here's the java configuration I'm currently using:

java.version: 21
java.vendor: Eclipse Adoptium
java.home: C:\Users\Public\IBM\ClientSolutions\Start_Programs\Windows_x86-64\jdk-21+35

Like I said, I haven't seen ACS crash in years. YMMV

Thanks,

Dan, that lines up with what I've seen. Sometimes I can click the red X
enough times, but I sometimes tire of it and go to Task Manager.

If this happens to me in my present situation, I'll look at the window that
pops up - often we are told to give Java more memory for the task at hand,
maybe it gets flooded with so many things going on.

But I don't have 4 sessions open in a tabbed window, plus several RSS
windows, plus Printed Output, plus Schemas, plus ...? ?
