I recently (well, within the last couple of years) posted a question about REGEXP_REPLACE not working as expected in an interactive session with STRSQL with IBM i V7.3. Scott Klement replied, asking what CCSID I was using for my interactive job.

I was using a 5250 session with CCSID(500) when having the problem.
I tried again using a 5250 session with CCSID(37) and it worked.

my thought as to why working on one and not the other would be CCSID job attributes. Maybe the system value as well.
