I'm working on trying to setup and test RDi 9.8 on a Windows 11 machine. Skipping past all of the frankly ridiculous steps to get and install so far, I'm encountering an issue I'm wondering if anyone else has dealt with.
At this point I have it unzipped into C:\IBM (as the support person is very insistent on every response that it needs to be) and the license applied to it. So, it is in a functional state. I want to apply the updates to it and so use Help->Check for Updates

Searching online I've found some similar issues with other software and at least one similar post for RDi with no response.

The IBM support person says it is probably because of security why applying the cert. But the most recent post seems to indicate that not because I don't have enough, but too much. He's saying a non-Admin needs to install the software. Does that make sense? I hate to have gotten this far with the install and applying the license and setting it up with the problems I had, only to have to redo it all with a non-admin account (that I guess I'll have to create since everyone in our IT department is defined as having local admin).

Has anyone else encountered this and found the solution?

Thanks
