I was going to say I think the IFS APIs do allow that... otherwise I wonder
if you could put hooks into commands to do CHGOBJOWN, etc. afterwards.

Either way, there should be options on the IBM commands already. But
there's not. :(

Hi, Rob,
Do you mean, without ANY programming? :-/
There are some APIs that can be used in various combinations to probably
give the desired results.
For example, Carsten Flensburg wrote an article called "OVRGRPPRF" to
Override the Group Profile. So, in this way, you could allow certain users
to temporarily (for the life of the job) change their primary group
profile, to a group profile that is the desired owner of the IFS directory
and all files to be created in that directory.
Some of these kinds of things can also be done using the UNIX concepts of
uid and gid -- and there are APIs to set and change those attributes.
If you have access to Carsten's QTIPSRC you can search that source file
for "IFS" and you should find some relevant topics.

Hope that helps,

Is there any way to say any new object created in this directory should
