The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
We do a full system save periodically on a weekly basis. I believe this is a backup that we could boot from and do a bare metal restore. My question is... how can we verify/validate the tape to be sure it's good for that purpose?
My thinking was... perhaps we could boot off of it... and just not take the step to actually do the restore.
