3 digit year supports 1900-2899
'c' Years
-----------------------
0 1900-1999
1 2000-2099
. .

. .
9 2800-2899

The "split" between centuries was when converting between 3 or 4 digit
years to 2 digit.
1940 - 1999
2000 - 2039

7.5 added the ability to split at 1970

Back in the Y2K days jbm saved the day by setting up policy date where a
3 digit year was one century and a ov the other does anyone remember which
year that was?
Next was another’s pivot date picked or a mandate to 4 digit years in
fates?
