One of those "if you need that, you're doing something wrong..."

I'd maybe look at having the UDTF replicated into each library with the
view.

The PSDS would have the library in POS(81)...not sure if that's less icky
or not. :)

file information data structure (INFDS)?

The INFDS would give you the library name, CHAR(10), in POS(93).
