Surprisingly, this does actually create a file in the target library.
Unfortunately, it creates an empty save file.
After discussing with my colleagues who have a better understanding of
QNTC than do I, we are questioning how valid these links with a
trailing blank are. They are suggesting that they are never used and
no one is trying to use them.

Have you tried for instance (it occurs to me, i have not tried it):
DIR QNTC\ /b /ad > /QSYS.LIB./SOMELIB.LIB/SOMEFILE.FILE/SOMEMBR.MBR
Not sure if it should be /QNTC\. If you get something as above, then
I guess it's OK.
