As the mighty Jim Oberholzer says, "in lieu of a true source control".
If you're planning on staying with the platform, get with the program. You're not going to find many recent grads who'll maintain your hack going forward.
Allow yourself to be dragged kicking and screaming into the late 1990's already ?
Of course, if you've given up on IBM i and are migrating off the platform, ignore my carping.
