Popular topic these days, eh?

Anyway I'm getting around to cleaning up the domain names on our 14 lpars
of IBM i. Seems we have quite a few varieties of domains. Some are set to
dekko.com, some corp.dekko.com and some dekko-1. Dekko-1 was our original
from some decades back.

Another issue was if you have a H/A (software) pair like TEST1 and TEST2
with their shared alias of TEST I found that the primary was TEST and not
TEST1. I'm going to clean that up too.

All LPARs should have all three domains in their domain search list.

I will ensure the Windows based DNS has the appropriate host and
alias/cname entries to support all three domains.

Generally we restrict the number of shares supported by IBM i, and
willingly accept any shares on the root as a letter of resignation. I'm
hoping this doesn't cause any issues with the few shares we have.

The manual doesn't mention any nastygrams about changing these at
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.5?topic=settings-changing-tcpip-domain

Any of you been through this? Any thoughts to share?
