RE: how to set address/port/url for Navigator for i from IBM i Access Client Solutions?

Not sure if this will lead to the right place, but may be worth a look:

On IBM i Access Client Solutions panel, select Actions, Management, System Configurations menu item

On System Configurations panel, select the system to work with, click Edit button

On Edit Selected System panel, click Hardware Management Interface tab

On the HMI tab, there are 6 groups of types/host name. In the <select type> drop-downs, there are 15 different services. I don't see Navigator for i, but do see "Web (HTTP) Administration for i". Not sure if that is the same thing.

The port is maybe provided by port mapper service, which is used as the first connection sequence within iACS (checkout Verify connection button)?

Regarding the URL, the domain is the one that your device use for IP resolve step, and the right side (e.g. after the first / or third one if you include the protocol in the URL) might also comes from port mapper negociation.

Just an assumption.

I deeply appreciate your patience, and have finally grasped the issue.
No, the GUI doesn't seem to have a way to set the Nav for i URL:port

Now that I'm looking at it, two out of three of my system
configurations go to the wrong port when I click Nav for i - I
normally use browser bookmarks, so I totally missed that this was happening.

I searched the local configuration for my host systems, and can't
find any prefs.dat files containing the URL or port. So I can't see
a simple text file that's caching the values, either. Then I
searched the entire
C: drive looking for it. I can't find anything in cleartext that
points to a configuration.

Sorry.

I wonder if it's cached up on the IBM server... hm.
