Is there a way to retrieve the individual row counts from a MERGE
statement within INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE?

The values SQLERRD(3) returns rows affected by the most recent SQL
statement so that's not going to work and the GET DIAGNOSTICS seems to only
return the number of rows updated via "ROW_COUNT".

The joblog shows the rows affected by each operation, so there must be a
way...

any ideas?
