I'm having problems using some facets of ACS 1.1.9.5. The problems are
not new to that version, but that's what I'm currently using. The biggest
issue is that using ***multi-tab*** green screens randomly changes the
window size, sometimes to double the size of my monitor, other times to 2"
x 3" window. Another issue is ACS crashing or locking up if I have too
many windows/sessions open. (No judgement! We manage 30 partitions here.)
ACS "About" says:
java.version: 17.0.9
java.vendor: Eclipse Adoptium
java.home: C:\Program Files (x86)\Eclipse Adoptium\jre-17.0.9.9-hotspot
(Adoptium is our company's current standard to replace Oracle.)
IBM support wants me to use Java 11 which, if I understand Java versioning
correctly, seems like a downgrade. They are specifically recommending IBM
OpenJ9's Java 11, which is at least 3 years old. Their download site shows
OpenJ9 Java 21 LTS. Not knowing how much longer IBM will support version
11 (LTS), I'm wondering if anyone is using a version of OpenJ9 Java newer
than version 11 and not having problems with ACS.
