This thread made me kind of smirk.

I upgraded my version of SNAG-IT several months back. Out of nowhere,
several of my ACS F-keys stopped working. Specifically F9 & F10. I thought
my laptop had bit the dust.

I started googling any kind of remedy and ran into a post that mentioned
SNAG-IT. There had to be a connection between the upgrade and those F-keys.

Going into SNAG-IT, hit the setting's wheel, capture preferences, hotkeys ....
I unchecked the "allow SNAG-IT to override hotkey settings".
That solved the problem.

It's an Alienware Aurora R7.? A desktop computer that's getting pretty old now -- I've been using it as my primary workstation for both work and play for about 8 years.? This problem only cropped up recently.

Hello,

Not sure what changed, but at some point the F13-F24 keys stopped
working for me in ACS. on one Windows 10 PC.? I can use these
functions via the "keypad" feature, that works fine... but press
Shift-F1 through
Shift-F12 no longer works.

Anyone know what might've caused this and how to fix it?

Oddly I had one computer where the left Shift key died. Boy did I feel silly.

A more likely issue is software. Snaggit is one that wants to own many of those keys but is configurable.

One our company installs by default also caused this and same issue, I could reconfigure it.

So any new software installed recently?

Very easy to reconfigure the SnagIt hotkeys.
I had that same issue a long time ago. Yes, it usually was the upper range F-Keys.
