I've already established that I'm using a rather old HTTPAPI, that's
been customized, which is an obstacle to updating to a more current
HTTPAPI.
Looking "under the covers" in the source for http_persist_req (which
underlies http_url_post_raw, and which I also use directly, for "put"
requests), I see that if it's been passed data in a buffer, rather than
a procedure to call for the data, it calls http_xlatedyn to translate
the data in the buffer.
Given that I have the data in a buffer (my usual rather large global
static field, named "BUFFY," in honor of a former colleague who was a
bigh "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fan), and that I've recently learned to
call iconv myself,
Is there an easy way to shift the translation responsibility to my code,
rather than Scott's?
