Try using QCMDEXC and not the command directly.

I've tried adding %Trim to get rid of the spaces; however this isn't allowed.

REPLACE(*YES)

I've also tried adding
ALWVARLEN(*YES)
To the DCLF statement, but that hasn't helped.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction?
