I am going with katointegrations.com.

I asked for quotes from 4 different places and they replied right away and
I still haven't heard from the other 3. They also have a nice online
calculator for you to size the system you need. They asked a for a few
command results to evaluate CPU, memory and disk and then suggested a setup.

They answered all my questions very fast and the pricing was very good.
Hoping to have the new partition spun up Monday! My website should be 100x
faster since it won't be over DSL anymore. :) Yes, I live in the boonies,
but it's worth it.

Just out of interest Brad what service are you moving to? Our contract
ends in October I think and I may be "shopping".

Ok, thanks, Jim!

I'm moving to the cloud soon anyhow.. my old P8 may be powered down in a
few weeks. Just wanted to get up to date on PTFs.

Assuming you are using T1 of an Ethernet card those settings are
correct.
The “internal” port is different.

This is odd.. some of these settings don't look right in SST for
"Select
Console"

Allow console recovery and console can be taken
over by another console . . . . . . . . . 2 1=Yes, 2=No

Select one of the following:
Console type . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 3
3. Operations console(LAN)
4. Hardware management console(HMC)
Current state of console tag . . . . . . . . 0

Allow supported internal LAN adapter to
be the console . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 2 1=Yes, 2=No <---
shouldn't this be yes for a LAN console?
Allow supported external LAN adapters to
be the console . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 1=Yes, 2=No <---
This seems weird too.. External vs internal?

I was able to open another LAN console without issue. Logs say
PTFs
applied, etc.. don't see any errors.

But when I did log into the new LAN console the message at the

(that
said Service Tools User ID does not exist) changed to:

Console recovery / take over is currently turned off.

Normally I'm used to seeing it go through applying PTFs, etc. Now
it's
just sitting here on this screen and everything seems to be working
fine.
The message on the bottom is odd... Service Tool User ID does not
exist?

Any ideas what happened here? Should I just close the session or
something else?
