Thanks for the information. I have forwaded this to the network person.
They are deep into an issue and will be Tuesday or Wednesday next week
before they can look at it. I think this could be it.

You have to have the user profile GUEST on your system - but there might

In there is this link

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4046019/guest-access-smb2-disabled-by-default-in-windows-10-server-2016

Our company does not allow SMB1 anywhere - it is severely insecure. IBM
strongly says not to set the IBM i to SMB1 anymore, too, so you, as we
have, will need to give everyone who will need access to the i, to have a
user profile.

We don't specify one. I assume it is using GUEST. I know my windows and
IBMi profiles are not the same. With that in mind we cannot use those.
If I look the security on the shared it has GUEST and PUBLIC.

We have a few IFS drives shared. We added a new windows server and
for
some reason it can not access the share. None of the others have an
issue. Our test is to use windows explorer and type the address
\\IPaddress\shareName. The network guy tells me that he can now access
the
\\IPaddress but not the shareNames. Any ideas to look at? I have to
think
it is on the windows server because the other servers work.
