Logical serial number is a question based on how the vendor chooses to set it up.

As to the partition ID, if the LPM is used, then you would not necessarily know the partition ID once it’s moved. So, those of you who use the partition ID to isolate which partition you license need another way of determining the actual partition it’s on. The same is true for Fibre connections, etc.
