The actual text of your question may well have been too vague, but
there was enough implied meta-information to make up for it. For
example, the fact that you were asking the question at all suggested
that the word is probably uncommon; and the way you worded the
question suggested that the word is probably somewhat academic. At
least for me, that was enough to figure out with pretty high
confidence which word you were looking for. Fun game, thanks! ;)
