Yeah, we cracked down some years ago and forbade managers from picking
their own printers. Put a big stop to having to customize programs so they
could save $5 on a printer. Also stopped a sizeable inventory of disparate
printer supplies.
Another reason we stopped all automated generating of faxes from IBM i
programs. Having to futz with margins, etc. just to support a small base
of users.
