Why would you say this is a BAD idea ?
While I was not blindly deleting everything I have an enormous number of
files relating to sent emails that I need to delete.
But others on this list have advised they clear /tmp nightly.
So what issue would you suggest this is going to cause ?

Idea NOT!!] *then cd /tmp & rm -rf * would get everything but the
dotfiles.
But I think all he's trying to do is find some specific files somewhere. I
dunno. I've lost track of this conversation. Guess I'll go drink more
coffee 😁
