Typically, if I need to tinker with an IBM command it's something more than CHGCMDDFT can handle, and being a programmer, I prefer to write my own command, CPP, VCP, and UIM help - that eventually executes the stock IBM command. When IBM decide to add a new parameter, it'll probably be optional, and my 'proxy' won't need to be changed.
