Hopefully they will use a little more $$ in making renewing your SWMA and
HWMA a little easier. Now it's like pulling teeth (yes, I am going through
it now and again my contact from last year is different and they said they
forwarded the request to " IBM Technology Lifecycle Services". Sounds
like that should work great.

understand what is going on and what is yet to come. One aspect of it is

subscription is an operating cost. It may well be advantageous to the
enterprise to have the licensing as a subscription cost (taxes,
amortization of permanent license, etc.)

Using "everybody else does likewise" is just laughable. As if IBM needed
to care what others do. They could just offer both options.

I believe this is only to maximize revenue to IBM to benefit their
shareholders. As almost always nowadays.
