Hi Greg

A couple things - first, you can see more details in a webcast from COMMON - no need to join COMMON, it's free to all, might need to register there, though. I recommend viewing the webcast.

Second, you can order new systems before the deadline - meaning IBM has to receive the order before then - and still have the perpetual license. Of course, that might not fit your timing.

Third, you might be interested in the change that makes many licensed products to be no additional charge - Advanced Job Scheduler is one, I don't thin Db2 Web Query is, though, I forget.

Cheers
Vern

Thanks for the heads up.

Hoping this is not a huge money grab that will cost IBM customers more in the long run.

We are a small shop on a P05 with perpetual licenses - we have always paid SWMA. Additionally, we paid a significant price to license several products (i.e. DB2 Web Query).
