"Member added". Journals cache to improve performance so it's possible
additional entries haven't been flushed. Ending your interactive job
should do it.

To try to figure this out, I used the file in question in our test
environment and did the ADDPFM immediately followed by RMVM. Then I used
the command

DSPJRN JRN(myjournal) FILE(myfile)

Since this file is in our test environment and nobody has hit it yet today
(what are we paying our QE folks for??? 😊), there is only one entry for
the file in the journal, the D MA.

The IMAGES setting doesn't matter here. It only controls the journal
entries for the RECORDS.

I suppose maybe if you have *BOTH and a member is removed, you'd maybe see
all the deleted records.

But I'm not sure about that.

OP is looking for Journal Code=F Entry Type = DM --> Delete member.

Note that add member is a D,MA ...

I suspect OP might not be looking at the F codes in whatever tooling he's
using to look at the journal.

You won't see who removed the member unless you save *BOTH (before and
after) images when you start journaling for a file.

We are trying to find out what job is removing a member from a file.
When
I
look at the journal, I can see what added the member but not what
removed it. Is there a different journal where I see what is
removing the
member?
