Thank you for your reply! And yes, enough getting hounded by senior Ops guys for not providing enough info during troubleshooting talks will do that to you :>

TCP/IP is up and configured properly and I am able to confirm via netstat that the service is listening on 161/udp on all interfaces, but I still cannot snmpwalk the machine from my NMS. I also configured a public community as you described for testing, this similarly did not work. I thought that maybe the case of the community was getting altered so I tried both in all uppercase as well, but that was not the problem.
